THE STROESSNER AWARD
The Robert J. Stroessner Award is presented for outstanding contributions
to our understanding of New World art and culture.
This award is given in memory of Robert J. Stroessner,
former curator of the New World Department.
THE MAYER SCHOLARSHIP
The Mayer Scholarship is awarded to a doctoral student in early June of odd-numbered years for study
at the Denver Art Museum the following academic year.
It consists of travel expenses, lodging, and a $1,000 stipend,
with two weeks of access to the museum's New World collection.
Interested candidates should send the following
application materials:
- Name, phone number, and mailing and email addresses
- A cover letter, explaining how access to the collection
will further progress toward the degree
- Two faculty letters of reference
